About the Credential

What the CLBA Represents

The CLBA is a professional development credential in applied behavioural science for leadership and organisational contexts.

The Certified Leadership Behaviour Analyst is a GIB-assessed credential that validates competency in the structured application of behavioural analysis within leadership, coaching, and organisational consultancy contexts. It is not a clinical or therapeutic qualification, and does not confer authority to provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.

The credential is assessed against the GIB Division III competency framework, which specifies required knowledge and application standards for practitioners working within professional leadership environments. Holders of the CLBA credential have demonstrated, through independent examination, that they meet GIB's published standards for this professional domain.

The CLBA is designed for practitioners who bring behavioural science methodology to bear on leadership contexts: assessing leader behaviour patterns, applying evidence-based coaching frameworks, advising on organisational and team dynamics, and contributing to talent and culture strategy from a grounded behavioural science perspective.
