GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF BEHAVIOR
The Global Standard in Behavioral Intelligence
An independent certifying body setting competency-based examination standards in applied behavioral science for government, defense, enterprise, and academic institutions.
A Certifying Body,
Not a Training Company
The Global Institute of Behavior is an independent certifying body in applied behavioral science. The Institute develops and maintains examination standards and professional frameworks by which practitioners are assessed across the public and private sectors.
We operate independently of any particular training provider. Our examinations are sat by candidates from accredited training organizations across multiple countries. Our credentials are presented by practitioners working in government, academic, HR, and professional contexts internationally.
Structured Certification for Behavioral Science Practitioners
The Global Institute of Behavior provides structured, competency-based certification pathways for professionals working in behavioral analysis, investigative interviewing, organizational behavior, leadership development, and applied behavioral science.
GIB credentials are professional development qualifications. They are recognized by practitioners in public-sector, corporate, academic, and clinical contexts as evidence of assessed behavioral science competency. Credentials do not confer government authority or operational clearance of any kind.

Certification scope notice: GIB credentials are professional development qualifications issued by an independent certifying body. They are not accredited by any government agency, military authority, or law enforcement body, and do not confer government authority, security clearance, or operational authorization. Behavioral observation skills taught through GIB-approved training are professional tools intended to contribute to professional judgment — not to enable definitive conclusions about intent or deception. See Governance & Ethics for the full scope-of-practice statement.
Recognized by
Those Who Matter
The GIB credential carries genuine recognition within HR and talent functions. When candidates present it, it communicates a level of rigour that general training certificates do not.
Our analytical unit required a credential that could be cited in formal reports and withstand professional scrutiny. The GIB Specialist certification has been appropriate for that purpose.
We reviewed several certification bodies before selecting GIB for our department's professional development. The independence of the examination board and the published standards framework were the deciding factors.
Following GIB certification of our interview panel, we observed a measurable improvement in structured observation consistency. We have since certified personnel across four regional offices.
Aligned with
Professional Standards
GIB develops its frameworks in reference to the standards and competency models maintained by the following professional bodies. This reflects framework alignment with established professional practice, not formal accreditation or endorsement by these organisations.
